There is a core organisers' group of approximately 20 plus a mailing list of 150 who have signed up for information about our events and activities. The 250 particpants include the Summit attendance and participants plus those involved in the CORVS event for secondary schools.

Ribble Valley Climate Action Network (RVCAN) is a local community umbrella organisation acting collectively to respond locally and nationally to the current climate and nature emergencies. RVCAN arose as a result of the Camino to Cop 26 passing through Clitheroe en route to Glasgow.

Our priority is to empower and support the people of the Ribble Valley (all citizens and leaders) to make positive changes, so that by working together, the Ribble Valley achieves net zero and significantly reverses the decline in nature by 2030.

In 2023 we organised a fully booked Citizens Summit on Climate and Nature (a free event open to all) and also a Conference of Ribble Valley Schools (CORVS) with involvement from 8 local secondary schools.
