Our vision is to create a kind, confident and connected community through the power of food.

Our core activity has always been our public edible beds. They’re dotted around Leeds and aim to show people where their food comes from. Our beds are placed at the heart of communities and encourage curiosity, as well as providing a free, healthy and sustainable source of food.

We love where we live and we know our community does too. We are passionate about supporting our local businesses so that they are able to grow and thrive – they need us more than ever right now. We support local and buy local – getting pounds into the pockets of small local businesses so that over time they might be able to produce more and employ more people.

We’re working with local artists to commission murals across the city. Art has the power to get people talking. It can brighten up communities, giving public places a splash of colour, character and beauty. Art can also be informative, symbolise local history and give a community a sense of identity.

We believe in the lost arts. The art of growing and soil science, the art of cooking and preserving and the connection that is made to our planet when we learn about food. Incredible Edible believes reviving our hands-on knowledge of food is essential for all our futures. Schools are natural places to start, with food playing an increasingly important part in the curriculum. We work with schools and their gardening clubs to pass on skills and get them growing.
