According to the City of Fremantle – One Planet Living Annual Report 2020-21, pp21: “Fremantle continues to lead the way in using One Planet Living at a city and town level. Fremantle sets the gold standard for sustainability not just in Australia, but globally. ” This is just a lot of green-spin and the council does nothing to encourage permaculture design or practice by its home owner and renters. F.I.T. aims to educate and help members take steps beyond just recycling measures, towards retrofitting suburbia, local degrowth ecological economics, deep adaptation strategies, using verges and open space for urban agriculture, and more. F.I.T. uses alternative media like WholeLifeTimes.org to get indepth articles published that explores the above topics, local and state green politics, sustainable living, town-city-civilizational eco-transformation, gaian paradigm upshift, global regenerative healing, etc.
