*WE ARE an open association of people living in and around Llandrindod.
*WE ARE part of the worldwide Transition Network.
*OUR AIM IS to help Llandrindod make the journey to a low carbon future.
*WE ARE committed to positive local community action in response to the global challenges of economic crisis, climate change, and resource depletion including peak oil.
*WE FOCUS on the benefits of taking practical action locally, rather than on the threats posed by the global challenges.
*WE BELIEVE that in making a community-planned transition away from fossil fuel dependence to a low carbon future, Llandrindod people and businesses will benefit from increased resilience, well-being, and sustainability.
*WE SEE this transition as an enjoyable journey, with immediate as well as longer-term benefits, even though we do not know when we will reach the destination.
*WE ARE non-political and non-confrontational. We don’t campaign ‘against things’.
*WE WISH to share our experiences and help others, especially in neighbouring communities.
*WE WELCOME everyone to join in and support our aims.
