Transition Town Port Washington (TTPW) is part of a global social, economic and environmental movement whose mission is to organize and promote a community-wide effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transform our peninsula to a regenerative and sustainable economy. We actively address resource depletion and causes of climate change with tangible, household, and systemic solutions. We are engaged Port Washington residents who strive to transform our community – house by house, business by business, neighbor working together with neighbor – into a sustainable, fossil fuel-free economy.
