Szátok (Nógrád county, Hungary) is a ltle village with 600 inhabitants with a ninety percent Roma population. The short-term goal of our group is to open a MegoldoM Social Discount Shop, which will provide affordable basic foodstuffs, household goods and local products purchased through short supply chains, as well as a community space, a café and a non-prescription drug distribution service for the inhabitants of the settlement. Our medium-term goal is to establish a Social Farm to supply local produce to the settlement. In the coming years, other services to promote the social inclusion of the Roma majority in the deprived area would be included, in particular job placement with employment counselling, educational inclusion programmes for local youth.
