Your trainer/facilitator bio

I’m an author, artist, horticulturist-arborist and urban forester located in Montreal Tiohtià:ke. After an academic career in history of art and semiology (PhD), I’ve decided to study horticulture (Professional studies diploma), arboriculture (certified ISA) and forestry (2nd cycle). Since then, transition has been at the heart of my creations, writings, teaching and work. After working for the public (City of Montreal), private landscaping companies and community organisations, I’ve created Cœur d’épinette (Spruce heart), a project dedicated to foster connection with urban nature and to also connect the people around the transition through creative initiatives and activities. Cœur d’épinette works in partnerships with community organisations, the City of Montreal, transition initiative collectives among others. Inclusivity, accessibility, creativity and environmental justice are the preoccupation that leads me through all of my implications.
