Transition Dundee is a community-led social enterprise which aims to make Dundee a healthier, happier and more sustainable place to live through various climate change themed projects. Many people are aware of the threats that the Climate Emergency poses – but we are here to show there is HOPE, there are lots of things we can do to tackle it TOGETHER and to make sure EVERYONE has the chance to help shape the future Dundee.

Our projects currently consist of:

Dundee West End Community Fridge – reducing approximately 6 tonnes of food waste per month

The Wardrobe – A second hand clothes shop with a difference, where we also run lots of workshops and events to show people different ways of reducing our impact

The Gleaning Project – working with local farms and producers to reduce pre-farm gate waste and then distributing this food around the 25 food larders and foodbanks in Dundee and other projects beyond.

The Dundee Changemakers Hub – we are part of a collective (Creative Dundee, The Maxwell Centre, Uppertunity and Scrapantics) who recently got funding to start a Dundee Climate Hub from the Scottish Government. More to follow soon…
