ENGLISH:First established as a locally focused group, from the start line our website has become a reference point for the Spanish-spoken Transition World. In 2009, one of our active members, Horacio Drago, has been working hardly via web and email with people of Totnes, in order to have the movie In Transition 1.0 translated into Spanish in time. We were the first Transition Initiative in our country, and since those times to now are trying to spread this ideas both, over our region and over all Spanish world. Today we continue focusing both goals. At the first one, working locally to increase resilience and awareness levels of the local population in our area, which basically consists of a group of three small towns located in two neighboring provinces, with rural areas around them, lying on the eastern slopes of Patagonian Andes, a really wonderful land. Aditionally we are trying to continue expanding and adding information materials, downloadable texts, movies that can be online viewed, and all kind of related documents, to our ‘eternally-under-construction’ website, as well as mantaning a mailing list, and answering the many inquiries that come to us from all Spanish-speaking world. Among other similar projects, we also have been coordinating a shared and very proactive initiative with volunteers around the world, in order translate The Transition Handbook to our language, a task that is almost complete and so far is the only version of this very important book available in Spanish. We are very proud of it, and you can find “El Manual de la Transicion” at the link “Biblioteca” in the website mentioned below.
